Decontamination Process in Thailand

Inspection of the submerged equipment in an auto factory
being carried out using a small boat.

Most of the equipment had been submerged in the ‘black water’ floods
in 2 metres of water for more than 30 days.

The portions of the machines which were exposed to air and elevated humidity
were corroding rapidly.

The condition of the machines before the restoration.

The machines were closely inspected prior
to the complete decontamination and restoration.

The decontamination was the first order of the day.
All the machines were thoroughly cleaned before the restoration process took place.

The machines were protected from corroding by the application of anti corrosion fluid.

The machines were inspected by the respective stakeholders
before the approval was given.

Businesses have significantly reduced both downtime and customer attrition by Approved Group International’s (AGI) quick damage assessment and effective equipment restoration. AGI has been on site since mid November 2011, assisting many businesses in every possible way.

THE WAY FORWARD

AGI’s team has been present in Thailand since mid November assisting businesses, Insurers, Reinsurers, The General Insurance Association of Thailand and individuals in the loss assessment and restoration requirement. As soon as the flood water begun to recede, thousands of equipment and machinery went through preliminary damage assessment by AGI’s Consultants. Recommendations on the way forward were provided immediately, decontamination on equipments were carried out and were completed earlier than due date, which resulted in businesses gearing to commencing their activities again in full force. STANDARDISATION

A natural step has come for us here at the Approved Group. We’ve taken special care to integrate ourselves into a world-class benchmark for the standards that you’ve all come to rely on – the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certification. We’re deeply satisfied to have TUV Rheinland certify this milestone. To be the first forensic and disaster restoration organisation in our region to have the certificate has been a source of pride for the team here.

This field is sometimes grisly – after all, we deal with the varied mishaps and misfortunes that form the pulse of the global community. Having said that, we’ve kept our goals clear, and our professional management has got us where we’ve always wanted to be. I am grateful to the team. Our processes now run smoother than ever, thanks to their steady efforts.

Our online portal will house pertinent material on forensics and disaster restoration – a one stop centre, if you please, for all the information you require. Seamlessly updated on a regular basis, the website will be a tool to keep you abreast of the developments and updates in our field.

Our bulletins and case summaries will be uploaded for your ease of access.

While AGI’s office and mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers remain unchanged, AGI personnel email addresses will be altered to signify the new path in our journey.

As you may have noticed, there is an empirical method to our new outlook : our email addresses are shortened, reducing the keystrokes required to enter our details.
